We had 15 swimmers participate in our China Beach swim this year and all 15 had great swims! It was a calm and lovely morning. A special thanks is due to pilots for this swim, especially our rowers who left in the dark after a 0430 (!) briefing for a very tough row out to China Beach. The currents behaved as expected—swimmers got a strong push from China Beach to the bridge from the back eddy, passed the bridge south of the South Tower under relatively slack conditions, and finally swam back to the club on a building flood.
