Boating OverviewBorrowing Boats

Borrowing Boats

In general club watercraft may not be taken out the back gate or for overnight trips, except with special permission from the Boat Captain.

Some reasons might include:

  • Borrowing a shell for a competition
  • Taking a kayak to pilot a club swimmer further afield
  • Rowing a rowboat on an overnight trip to Angel Island or Sacramento

Approval is usually granted if you’ve been contributing to the Dolphin Club boating and swimming program – such as helping with training, boat night etc – and you have the appropriate certification in the craft you are looking to use.
